ProjectSignal privacy notice

Effective October 22, 2026. ProjectSignal is operated by Ryan Smith, doing business as ProjectSignal, 5015 S Regal St #H1060, Spokane, WA 99223.

What we collect about subscribers: business name, contact name, email address, an optional phone number, the job preferences you give us on the sign-up form, how and when you agreed to receive the digest, billing status, and a log of which digests were sent to you. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor, Stripe, and never stored by us.

Why: to send the digest you asked for, to tailor it to your business, to bill for it, to honor unsubscribes, and to keep a record that we only email people who opted in.

Tailoring from public records: when you sign up, we look up public City of Seattle permit records that list your company as the contractor, and use that history (job types, building types and typical job sizes) to tune your list. We don't share it with anyone.

What we don't do: sell or rent your information, or add you to other mailing lists.

Where it lives: on the founder's computer and with the providers we use (Google Workspace for email and the sign-up form, Stripe for payments).

How long: while you subscribe, and up to 2 years after for billing and legal records. If you unsubscribe, we keep your email address on a do-not-email list so you are never emailed again.

Your choices: unsubscribe any time by replying "unsubscribe"; ask for a copy or deletion of your information at hello@projectsignalhq.com.

Permit data: the digest itself contains public-domain City of Seattle permit records, which may include business names and addresses published by the City.
